SingleLadyEscapades – San Juan, Puerto Rico
While living in Colorado I made a few dear friends from Puerto Rico. I have always dreamed of living in Puerto Rico, maybe my time in Hawaii has something to do with it?
In December of 2016 I finally made my first trip to the island to visit my dear friend D who was home visiting from Colorado for the Holiday season.
During this visit, we stayed in San Juan with one of his close friends and traveled to the island of Culebra for a night. Some highlights of the trip, aside from all of the amazing food, and great company were:
Exploring El Yunque National Forest.

Partying on the beach at the Corona Sunsets Festival…

The food in Puerto Rico is amazing…
Historic Old San Juan and late nights…

Strolling around the Historic El Morro National Monument.

Culebra was so quaint, so refreshing after the bustle of San Juan.
I ended up returning to Puerto Rico in February of 2018, and will be writing a separate post on that trip, but if you are looking for accommodations in San Juan, I highly recommend this adorable AirBnb which is located right in the hustle of historic Old San Juan.
This looks like such a fun trip! I’ve always wanted to go to Puerto Rico!
